touched by
god's messenger
radiant ball
of red
risen from the
other side of
unseen places
touched by
abundance
giving
touched by
the trust
of rising
sun
leaves
from another
year still
lay on wet
soil
along with this
years
how far back
do they go
in various
states of decay
to beginnings
out of season peaks
pink winter
roots
draw and coax
silent harmony
ground is empty
but rivers still
run and rocks
wet to dry
birds feed in
summer public places
now safe
light drips into
every hollow
it is winter here
and wild silhouettes
stand stoically
against winds
hard ground compacted
by visitors turn
liquid, sweet smelling
untouched
in resting beauty
CORNFIELD
ceremoniously
they dance and sing to one another
passing their own message
dressed alike, as in uniform
they mosly stand
thought tired and battered the injured lie down
hosting a city of homes
an estate
warmth and shelfter
providing food for the
scavenging passers by
